I would love to wear more skirts but ages 37 with 2 small children not sure...what do you think?
Its from Dorothy Perkins, the dark wash ruched waist skirt at £22.00

wash ruched&pageSize=20 this one?

Hassled · 02/02/2011 21:55

Coming up as page not found. Put 2 lots of square brackets either end to make a clickable link - so website.

Hassled · 02/02/2011 21:56

If you have the legs for it, I don't see age as an issue - certainly 37 isn't too old. I like it.

DinosaursHateUnderpants · 02/02/2011 21:57

I think you've got to have one hell of a flat stomach and good legs for it - if you have, then go for it - ruched waistbands always make me look pregnant!

pagwatch · 02/02/2011 21:59

personally. for me. About 15 is top limit.

washed out denim. ruched. short. 15

hellymelly · 02/02/2011 22:04

I agree,about 12-14.Even 14 is pushing it.It looks like a child's skirt to me.

hellymelly · 02/02/2011 22:05

Don't think short is an issue at your age though, shorty short is fine as long as it looks sophisticated.

DinosaursHateUnderpants · 02/02/2011 22:10

Looking at it again, depends on how short is short, and personally I don't like the detail on the hem (hand't noticed it before) - that makes it look too 'girly' for me.

WhatsWrongWithYou · 02/02/2011 22:33

I'm afraid I also think it looks like a young girl's skirt. Nothing against short per se - I'm 47 and wear them.

Depends on your shape, but something like a short straight denim skirt, maybe in a dark indigo, might be a good start - not too far away from jeans, but easing you away from them.

StarlightPrincess · 03/02/2011 09:34

My 21 month DD has a skirt like this...says it all really!

madammecholet · 03/02/2011 09:36

Now.

HecateQueenOfWitches · 03/02/2011 09:37

Yeah, it's really not an adult's skirt.

switchtvoffdosomelessboring · 03/02/2011 11:08

get this one instead

I have it and love it.

TrillianAstra · 03/02/2011 11:11

It's a denim skirt with an eleastic waistband.

So, er, 7? Whenever you're old enough to manage zips or buttons really.
