I'm so fed up of mine, especially as now right eye is not liking contact lenses.

The kids broke my favourite pair and I need new ones. There are so many to chose from and when I go to look at styles I just come away as I just cant decide or realise I've just chose the same as what I have already.

What glasses do you wear?

If they are any ladies in the know. I have a heart shaped face, brown eyes (too close together!), brown hair (long bob, no fringe) and slightly olive skin. Budget, er £100ish but could push the boat out for nice pair that cost more.

Thanks for any help. If they didnt cut the lens for laser eye surgery, I'd have had it done by now.

I have a pair of chanel thin silvery grey rectangular frames...before that I had a pair of tortoise-shell rectangular frames

I have come to the conclusion that one pair of glasses isn't really enough when you wear them day in day out as you get sick of them, as whilst I like my chanel glasses I don't particularly like wearing them for social things and think they look better with certain outfits than others.

Budget can't stretch to more than one pair sadly....

I would go into a big opticians and try loads of pairs of frames on (make sure you are wearing your contacts so you can see how you look in the frames properly). I went to vision express and they were quite honest with me about which ones looked best. I narrowed it down and then went back with DH.

Also in vision express they do a 28 day money back guarantee where if you change your mind for any reason they will change your glasses, as I couldn't decided between my glasses in the silvery grey or bronzey frame so they made up the silvery grey frame for me and said I could pay for them go home wear them and had 28 days to change my mind, as it was I ended up keeping them.

I've just bought two pairs (one free - but not really when you thin down the lenses etc).

I've looked for a couple of years now and wanted a change from my old specs. No new prescription needed but they were battered.

I had coloured metal frames but wanted acetate and have been assured that chunky is here to stay!
I can recommend Iris online. If you find a pair of frames that you like elsewhere and try them on etc. to see how they suit. Then go here Grin and this company provide free lenses in with the frame priceSmile.

I was booked for surgery and then 2 DCs in quick succession meant they couldn't do it. Now I'm thinking it's too risky for the sake of a bit of vanity and of course, practicality.
I love my prescription swimming goggles but not on holiday!

atm i have funky red/purple plastic frames, rectangles - MUCH nicer than they sound.

i have similar colouring to you :)

i also want to dye my hair red though, and so will be choosing a more neutral colour hen i get new specs in a few months

if you wear them all the time then REALLY make sure you are happy with them and they suit you :)

Thanks everyone.

The ones the kids killed were red or dead red/pink plastic rectangles MayorNaze. Much preferred them these aren't so bad (red/purple oval frames)

Anyone got any links?

I get special discount at Specsavers cos I'm on the contact lens scheme
