Oooh whoops my hand must have slipped and I bought it...(new bag what do you think?)

Red Direct sent through one of their newslettery email things and a bag seriously caught my eye, it just jumped out the page at me.

Its the Peony and Moore "Lucia" in Camel.

I did a google for their website and of course its on the actual Peony and Moore website for £199 instead of Red's inflated price of £225 (how rude! I suppose they have to make some money but still)

So of course I got it from Peony and Moore but anyway, what do you think? I've been looking for a bag that goes on your shoulder, doesn't have a massively long strap though (as in cross body bag) and that kind of colour and (hopefully) quality. I hope it lives up to my expectations, if not of course I will send it back. I also like the style/shape, outer compartments, and the lining etc. Lush lush lush.

What do you reckon

I think I can justify it on the basis that it will (probably) stop me buying a Mulbery this year! Yes, the bag will actually save me money Wink

Anyone else treating themselves to a new bag this spring? Which one's are you coveting?

I like it, it is actually very similar to a Mulberry Annie. Nice colour, too.

TattyDevine · 01/02/2011 18:41

Thanks half term.

I agree, about the colour, I find the Mulberry camel a bit too toffee...this seems in the photo a more straw colour, lovely with your white linen stuff in summer.

Hope its the same as in the pic. Had a nice bag from Boden once in that kind of straw colour with butter soft leather, but quite big and boxy, used to use it when I worked.

Ooh I can't wait.

Yes, it will look great all year round I reckon! I agree it will look great with summer whites. I can see it with a floaty floral maxi dress, too!

TattyDevine · 01/02/2011 18:55

Mmmmm. Ooh.

cyrilsneer · 03/02/2011 22:07

Good purchase! I love tan bags - I wear mine with black clothes and tan boots now and in the summer it'll looks good with white jeans and tan wedge sandals.

Feelingsensitive · 03/02/2011 23:31

Lovely Envy

HaveToWearHeels · 03/02/2011 23:39

very nice, lovely colour, but will it reeeeeaaaaly stop you buying a Mulberry ? Grin I kept buying substitutes until DP relented and bought me one for my 40th. I must say though yours is a nicer colour.

strictlysauvignon · 04/02/2011 19:59

madammecholet · 04/02/2011 21:09

Oh lordy, I am going to have to get one now. Shame on you tatty ducky bottles and stricly for posting. My credit card hates you all.

Camel or Grey? I do like the tan but the grey would also go with loads of things??

:)

strictlysauvignon · 04/02/2011 21:16

I have the grey madam -- goes with everything!! AND will look cool in the summer with white linen trousers - just need to buy the whiten linen trousers Wink ... .- - - hhmmmmmm -

madammecholet · 04/02/2011 21:19

Ooh, now you've got me...like this?

here

Bottles76 · 04/02/2011 21:19

My apologies to your credit card madammecholet! But you won't regret it! I also love the grey - its not too dark and looks like it would be fab for spring? Depends what kind of colours you usually wear?? Favourite shoe colour etc?

madammecholet · 04/02/2011 21:22

Well, I am currently living in brown riding boots, so the tan would be fine for now. However, in the summer I will be in all sorts of colours...

ummmmmmmmmmmmmmmm..........

Bottles76 · 04/02/2011 21:22

ooh nice trousers madammecholet... yours and my credit card may be at war at this rate! Roll on summer!! (is it too early to buy white trousers.... this is a dangerous use of friday night!) :) :)

madammecholet · 04/02/2011 21:24

Never too early bottles ....I love my white jeans, wear them all thru the summer, which is why either bag would be fine...I think I may sleep on it and decide in the morning..

I like sleeping on handbags...Grin
