DIY Brazilian blow-dry anyone?

I've had a Brazilian a few times and it has totally transformed my hair but I just can't afford the £200 anymore so wondered if you can just buy the product and DIY? Has anyone attempted this and did it work ok and if so, where can you buy it?
Cheers

Hi lechatnoir, I remembered your post as I am interested in having this done but just cannot fork out £££ for it.

Have a look at this www.scottcornwall.com/index.php/shop/product/str8-forward-super-straight

I may give it a try but a bit nervous. Anyone else used it?

I'm not sure what the brazilian does but the breaking of bonds seems this one ^ works the same as a perm would but in reverse.

I've looked at loads of tutorials being carried out by Hairdressers on Youtube and it looks really simple to do. Probably an idea to have your hair trimmed beforehand.

I plan to try it myself soon, will get OH to put the solution on, I'll then be able to blow dry it straight and tong it.

Lots of Salons are now cutting their prices and I've seen many doing it for £80 or under, no reason in my mind that it needs to be over £200.
