I like the Soap & Glory wipes, a bit expensive but 1 wipe does get all of my eye makeup off.

MrsMeow · 31/01/2011 20:13

Another vote for S&G, absolutely fantastic. Followed by Liz Earle skin tonic stuff.

brimfull · 31/01/2011 20:29

thanks will look out for them
any other recs

I can't be doing with skin wipes - I think they are all too drying tbh.

You are better off in the long run buying dozens of el cheapo flannels from Asda, cleansing your face with any old shite cleanser (or baby bottom butter or oil) and slathering a boiling hot wet flannel on your face and wiping off.

I am a lazy sod but this is easy. It's either that or washing my face with shampoo in the shower.

GetOrfMoiLand · 31/01/2011 20:33

And I have lovely skin btw.

More luck than judgement, mind.

tigerbear · 31/01/2011 20:35

SImple are the BEST, IMO. Not drying at all, and work equally well at taking off eye makeup and mascara...

brimfull · 31/01/2011 20:37

my skin is good
just fucking lazy

I sometimes think how wonderful my skin would look if I actually could be arsed to do Liz Earle, facials, Creme de la Mer etc.

I just can't be bothered with all the faff. Soap and sunblock is all I run to.

mum295 · 31/01/2011 20:55

I use Simple wipes when I lack the time and inclination to wash my face.

brimfull · 31/01/2011 21:00

I use liz earl cleanse and polish when I can be arsed
whatever cream is on offer if any

I used to love Simple wipes, until they modified them and added 'vitamins'. My face instantly broke out. I am now a huge, huge fan of Johnson & Johnson wipes. They are really gentle on the face, whatever your skin type.

Creme de la mer was formulated by the same person behind Nivea. Same product; different price tag.

lololizzy · 01/02/2011 00:57

Personally , i love No7's ones. Annoying as are not cheap. I have very sensitive skin and the Simple and Nivea ones sting like hell. Oil of Olay ones not bad.

maize · 01/02/2011 07:34

I use babywipes. Have nice skin.

3gorgeousboys · 01/02/2011 09:35

Soap & Glory Facewipes are great, as are ph neutral babywipes!

TrillianAstra · 01/02/2011 09:38

"I sometimes think how wonderful my skin would look if I actually could be arsed to do Liz Earle, facials, Creme de la Mer etc."

Bet it wouldn't be noticeably different.

I have some Waitrose Pure wipes at the moment, they don't seem to be terribly good at getting makeup off.

Nagoo · 01/02/2011 09:41

GetOrf is right. My skin is miles better since oil cleansing with flannel.

I have johnson and Johnson dreamy skin ones for when i work lates (take it all off and basically ready for bed by the time I leave work Smile

TrillianAstra · 01/02/2011 09:44

My theory is that if you have easy skin, you have good skin, and you have to abuse it quite badly to make it do anything else.

If you have medium-to-not-so-good skin then you need to take better care of it, but that doesn't necessarily mean expensive stuff, just getting stuff that is right for your skin type.

valiumredhead · 01/02/2011 09:55

Garnier sensitive - pink packet are good. I usually use Aveeno cream and a hot muslin cloth though.

mippy · 01/02/2011 22:37

I use Boots cucumber ones (cheap) and then use the Tesco c+p dupe afterward. The wipe is to stop the muslin cloth getting all manky, really, and nothing gets off my waterproof mascara.

barbarapym · 01/02/2011 22:52

another vote for johnson and johnson - they are the best I have found for getting waterproof mascara off as well as everything else

Ivette · 01/02/2011 23:22

j&j are my fav!

CountBapula · 01/02/2011 23:27

I find the Sainsbury's Skin Therapy ones v good indeed and they are cheapy cheap cheap!

Wineoclock81 · 31/12/2017 20:35

Simples age resist wipes when i am tired or in a rush or travelling. Buy when on offer (currently got 3 packs stocked up)

Jerseysilkvelour · 31/12/2017 20:49

I always get either the Superdrug B brand ones, or the Superdrug micellar wipes with Argan oil. Cheap as chips and do the job!

DailyFailstinks · 31/12/2017 21:54

A second vote for boots no 7. I’ve used them for years and love them. Not the cheapest but they’re pretty much always on a 3 for 2 offer.
