I tend to look like golf club legs in flat shoes. Will you wear?

At 5ft, I tend to avoid flats. For daytime, I usually go for sandals with at least a low wedge sole.

cybbo · 31/01/2011 17:13

At 5 '9 I tend to avoid them too

Depends what I'm wearing. If I'm wearing a skirt with some fullness to it, I find that it balances out the 'golf-club' thing a bit. But I have v long thighs in comparison to my calves, so I do find it looks a bit odd if I wear flat shoes with a knee-length skirt. If it's a mini, it's fine, weirdly.

I tend to wear heels 95% of the time anyway, regardless of the fashion.

FellatioNelson · 31/01/2011 17:17

Not me. No Siree. (apart from my fitflops)

OhForBoonessSake · 31/01/2011 17:19

i am 5'3" and i can get away with flats in trousers. but i never wear skirts or dresses anyway so it should really be a problem.

OhForBoonessSake · 31/01/2011 17:19

shouldn't

cybbo · 31/01/2011 17:21

Fitflops? FITFLOPS?!

The DIVVEL'S ORTHOTICS!!

HettyAmaretti · 31/01/2011 17:22

No. I wear what suits me. Flats don't.

DuplicitousBitch · 31/01/2011 17:24

what happens if you don't wear flats the summer? klaxons go off and the less satorially challenged gather to throw cabbages and eggs?

cybbo · 31/01/2011 17:25

But shops may be FULL of flatties.

they do all tend to have exactly the same stuff in

I have heels glued to my feet.

The only time I don't wear heels is when I am out running...

Woo Hoo! I am 6 ft and taller than DH in heels. Flats sound good to me........

Duna · 31/01/2011 17:43

I loooooooooooove flats! Can't wait- sorry Grin

polyhymnia · 31/01/2011 18:25

Me too.

FellatioNelson · 31/01/2011 20:04

cybbo I need surgical-style extra wide comfy-fit footwear on a normal daily basis. Depressing but true. Sad

I can shoe-horn myself into something foxy once a week and no more. Grin

Northumberlandlass · 31/01/2011 20:17

Another 6ft lady here ! Woo Hoo, flat's back :-)

nikki1978 · 31/01/2011 20:20

I am 5ft 3 and always wear flats. Pretty and stylish ones of course ;) I can't bear trying to run after kiddies in heels. Plus I now get calf strain when I wear heels for more than a few hours.

I always think the women wearing heels I see out and about look like baby deer taking their first few steps Grin

I do wear heels on nights out etc but the rest of the time it is flatties for me :)
