Can laser hair removal affect fertility or breastfeeding?

Just about to embark on a course of laser hair removal. I can't see how this could affect bf since as I understand it the light only reaches the hair follicles, but just want to be sure. Anyone know?

Also, has anyone heard of if affecting fertility (esp if I was to have bikini/stomach done)?

Many thanks

I've been having it on my bikini line and told the clinic that I was TTC, they just told me to stop having it if I became pregnant so I don't think it has any effect on fertility.

The only issue I can think of cropping up if you are breast feeding is an even higher risk of hyper pigmentation because of hormonal melasma, but that would just be for areas exposed to the sun, so if you're planning to go on holiday and wear a bikini then cover up the area or wear very high SPF.

I had bikini done shortly before falling pregnant with twins, if that helps Grin
