I wear converse and leggings with wrap dresses. They look nice. Mind you, I have glittery ones! Smile (Glittery Converse, not wrap dresses)

SuperTheoryofSuperEverything · 02/02/2011 13:52

Ah yes I have back sequinned converse. love them.

I wear ots and lots of ballet pumps, is that an option op?

planestrainsautomobiles · 02/02/2011 15:09

I've got the black glittery converse too - bought them in the US didn't know that they were around here.

Other option for me is ballet pumps - lots around, I've got a couple of pairs from Boden but Blochs seem to be quite popular too.

I also wear biker boots and knee high riding boots with tea dresses / leggings and dresses / skinny jeans.

planestrainsautomobiles · 02/02/2011 15:19

Here are some ballet flats in the sale and can maybe use the KG code to get discount

These could be nice in late Spring / Summer - Wedges

These are nice converse types to wear with skinnies

DonaAna · 02/02/2011 15:48

I wear size 7 or 8 shoes and find that sometimes my feet just look very loooooong in skinnies and ballet flats - like this. This won't stop me wearing flats at home, but when I'm out and about a bit of heel looks a lot better, especially with dresses. Round toe is better than pointy toe and darker colours better than white or pale ones.

polyhymnia · 02/02/2011 15:56

Havingkittens and Super..., or indeed any other S and B experts, can you tell me where to buy black sequinned converse, please ?

Havingkittens · 02/02/2011 16:06

Mine aren't the black sequined ones, they are covered with red glitter but I'd say that somewhere like Office or Schuh would be your best bet for these. They may not do the black sequined ones anymore but those are the places to look for the more "glitzy" styles of Converse.

planestrainsautomobiles · 02/02/2011 16:21

I bought my sequinned black converse online in the US - you can build your own pair of converse, not sure if they post to the UK. I built mine to be black sequins with white soles and DH also built a pair (he likes his clothes too!) of brown leather ones - I actually preferred his to mine.

As per Kittens recc - maybe Office type shops?

SuperTheoryofSuperEverything · 02/02/2011 16:25

Mine were from the outlet years ago.

these fred perry ones look pretty good.

And I'm liking these spotty converse

Bargains! (hides credit card)

whattodo10 · 02/02/2011 16:27

I normally wear Mary Jane type shoes like these

SuperTheoryofSuperEverything · 02/02/2011 16:29

also nice

Havingkittens · 02/02/2011 18:30

planestrainsandautomobiles can you link to the site where you build your own Converse please? My OH is completely obsessed by Converse to the exclusion of most other shoes and doesn't like a lot of the newer styles. Would be really handy to know!

IngridBergmann · 02/02/2011 18:32

Radley partridge...or ottoline...if in sale still.

I'm an 8 too.

Got some decent brogues from joules as well, have you thought about brogues?

planestrainsautomobiles · 02/02/2011 21:09

Kittens here it is but it is an American site so need to check their delivery rates / P&P before wasting hours building a pair.

I've just found out that my DH has also built his own pair of Nike trainers (apparently there called Nike ID) he's only worn a couple of times??

planestrainsautomobiles · 02/02/2011 21:09

they're not there Blush

bestmamaderwelt · 02/02/2011 23:17

Nearly all the shoes from here are amazing!
