Where do you get nice leggings and tights from?

I've just sent back a load of stuff from sales buying and decided what I need is leggings.

Where can I get good quality ones?

TIA

There's a website called mytights.com that has a great selection of tights. I would think they likely have leggings too.

polyhymnia · 28/01/2011 22:55

Boden leggings are very good.

NeatSoda · 28/01/2011 23:10

oooh, I'll go and look them up right now!

i don't have them but have seen many people recommend primark leggings, remarkably enough.

holymoley · 28/01/2011 23:12

M&S for both. Opaque 40 denier £8 for a pack of 3 last forever. I have several pairs of leggings from there but my favourites are from the limited collection because they have a wide waistband

NeatSoda · 28/01/2011 23:12

(Are leggings a bit out of date?)

I've found Next leggings to be pretty good quality and wash and wear very well. Plus they don't roll down like some.

Primark were awful

I have some Puma ones and they are a nice finsh and come in great colours. I got them from the outlet shop and they were good value 30 quid down to 10. They are dance pants so are hard wearing.

Hennes were awful too I have to hoike them up about 20 times a day.

llareggub · 28/01/2011 23:15

I second Next. The leggings are the only thing I've ever bought there that I've liked.

tigerdriverII · 28/01/2011 23:16

Remarkably, Tesco opaques, in purple (might be called something poncy, but they are purple) are fab.

Binfullofmaggotsonthe45 · 28/01/2011 23:30

I second marks' opaque tights too, I have a pair that I am sure are about 10 years old and don't even have a hole or snag in them!

tigerdriverII · 28/01/2011 23:33

next tights are good, the fancy ones unless you have too big a belly in which case they are a disaster. As I know from a v embarrassing incident.

lololizzy · 28/01/2011 23:35

Long Tall Sally for length but haven't lasted better than any others.
Weirdly..have just bought three pairs in the Punkyfish sale that are fantastic (for tall birds like me) and don't turn into 'bumsters'

catinboots · 28/01/2011 23:37

American apparel are the only leggings that don't go see through or get holes xx

mum295 · 29/01/2011 08:38

Boden's leggings sold out last season as they were supposed to be so good. Have bought some for myself but saving them for slightly warmer weather!

As for tights, have heard good things about M&S Autograph - supposed to be as good as the v.v.expensive brands like Wolford. But that's just word of mouth, not personal experience!

mum295 · 29/01/2011 08:41

Just went on to M&S website and it's the Autograph opaque and wool/cashmere-blend tights that get the rave reviews.

Ashbury · 29/01/2011 09:32

Another vote for M&S Autograph tights, the opaque ones - I think that they're called "Velvet Touch". Also, like Holeymoley, my best ever leggings are from M&S. I have the Limited Collection ones with the wide waistband (stops them falling down), and some ones made from thicker material which I live in Here

Rassy · 29/01/2011 11:24

The M&S Autograph merino wool tights are excellent!

Timbachick · 29/01/2011 11:30

Warehouse do very nice leggings. They have two ranges, I think, and the more expensive ones are the best - although even they are not too expensive.
