I seem to run out of everything at the same time, for some reason...

So - this weekend I need to look for:

  • a foundation (usually use Max Factor)
  • an under-eye concealer thingie (have been using No 7 but it's really not cutting the mustard anymore)
  • a lipstick (usually use Clinique Black Honey but it's a bit too dark for me now)
  • a grey eyeliner

Any ideas please? :)

MAC I like - Strobe cream is good to illuminate your skin under foundation or lightly tapped on top of it.
Face & Body foundation is dewy and good for normal/dry skin
Prep & Prime powder to set foundation

Thanks - like the sound of Prep and Prime.

Valium - isnt it amazing! It gives me the dewy coverage ive always wanted and actually lasts. really glad you like it too - and what a bargain! Going back to stock up tomorrow while the offers on, did u get it in Tesco too?

valiumredhead · 01/02/2011 08:21

Gillybobs I got it in Boots it was £6 . Good choice of colours too I thought. The IVORY really was ivory and not chalky white.

I hope they bring out a concealor in the same range!

Gillybobs · 01/02/2011 08:43

Tesco doing it for £4.66 this week. Bargainous.

valiumredhead · 01/02/2011 08:48

Oh wow that is a good price! I will let my friend know as she wanted one too. Thanks :)

I tried a compact foundation in m&s and it seemed v good if you are an old scaly snake like me
all in one face base from bodyshop good if you are oily

tbh though I think it's worth spending on foundation and making savings elsewhere

the concealer
Laura Mercier and Bobbi Brown are both good but ££
loreal touch magique is raved about by my friends but I'm too set in my ways to change

i hate clinique but their cream shaper eyeliners are v good in black diamond and egyptian

Vichy Purete Thermale Calming Cleansing Solution is really good and I often use it when eve lom takes the face off me

MayorNaze · 01/02/2011 09:37

avon glimmersticks eyeliners are lovely IMO

have also recently been wowed by mineral foundation but it seems to be a bit marmitish on here...

MayorNaze · 01/02/2011 09:38

deffo bobbi brown concealor but rimmel also an excellent budget option

BelligerentGhoul · 01/02/2011 17:27

I used to love Clinique Egyptian! It's too dark for my almost 41 year old eyes now though. :)

Will have a look at BB for concealer. I bought a foundation from Une at Boots at the weekend, which I'm v pleased with - but the concealer that came free with it is rubbish.
