Oh style gurus - Is it ok to wear open chunky sandals with thick tights?

Just bought some. Do I have to wait until summer or can I wear them now? They're not esp strappy or lightweight.

I think those shoes are inbetween the Birkie look (bad) and the sartorialist look (good). Personally I think with the addition of tights they'd slide closer to the Birkie end of the spectrum. To pull off the tights and sandals look the shoes have to be very clearly edgy in a fashiony sort of way, and I don't think yours are. Sorry, still a no.
