Does anyone else hate cutesy animals on baby clothes?

If so which ones?

The most common offenders I think are:

cats
dogs
mice
bears
monkeys
giraffes
lions
caterpillars
bumblebees
ladybirds
butterflies
ducks
chickens
lambs
elephants
zebras
owls

no, sorry, that is what I love :) Can't get better than a plain white vest/babygro with a small animal on - not a disney one Angry. Mothercare do some wonderful ones

ChaosTrulyReigns · 27/01/2011 14:40

Farking Tigger and his dopey sidekick WTP. Angry

Not as bad as when twunts grown people wear them though.

not as much as i hate babies in clash or ramone apparel really pees me off that one

StealthPolarBroccoli · 27/01/2011 14:41

you forgot snakes btw, surprisingly common

sparklyrainbow · 27/01/2011 15:17

I hate the cartoon/'fun' dogs that seem to appear on all clothes for baby boys. But even they don't offend me as much as the 'mummy's new man' 'cheeky chap' crap. Yuk.

HettyAmaretti · 27/01/2011 15:18

Me, loathe 'em. Slogans too

DirtyMartini · 27/01/2011 15:20

Entirely depends. I judge them on a case by case basis.

nappyaddict · 27/01/2011 15:28

HettyAmaretti

Do you hate all of the ones I mentioned or just some? Are there any others you don't like? What about snakes that Stealth mentioned?

Oh I love them. Sorry!(not Disney though)
My DD has a crocodile driving a little red car on her vest! Grin

Ormirian · 27/01/2011 15:41

Ooh good you don't mind dinoasurs or monsters.

tethersend · 27/01/2011 15:44

Hate them all.

Why do they think babies need to be 'cutified'? What could be cuter than a baby FFS?

nappyaddict · 27/01/2011 15:48

tethersend

What about less cute animals like snakes, dinosaurs, monsters or aliens and robots etc?

OP posts:
nappyaddict · 27/01/2011 15:49

Oh and crocodiles as someone just mentioned them.

OP posts:
tethersend · 27/01/2011 15:49

Well they're just stupid. There's even less point.

StealthPolarBroccoli · 27/01/2011 15:50

But once you remove the skulls, camouflage, diggers, trucks cars, fairies, animals, disney, what;s left to decorate their clothes with?
The time to be sober in a grey suit is when you're in your 30s, if you can't wear a cute dinosaur or elephant when you're 6 months, you may never do it :(

StealthPolarBroccoli · 27/01/2011 15:50

I forgot pirates and boats and areoplanes

nappyaddict · 27/01/2011 15:53

I like brightly coloured plain things and patterns like stripes, spots and stars.

OP posts:
StealthPolarBroccoli · 27/01/2011 15:55

that's true, agree with you there. When else in your life can you wear primary coloured horizontal stripes :o

Still like the (non corporate, as DH calls them) animals though, on otherwise plain stuff.

StealthPolarBroccoli · 27/01/2011 15:56

unisex colours too

StealthPolarBroccoli · 27/01/2011 15:56

not technically clothes but I love these

ugh

StealthPolarBroccoli · 27/01/2011 15:59

aaaaaaaaaaaaagh i give up

HettyAmaretti · 27/01/2011 16:16

Me? I hate all cutesy animals / insects / reptiles / birds / whatevers on clothing. Yuck and WHY?

A decent print of just about anything is fine but not cutesy shit. Patters, fine. Stripes, love 'em. Detailing, good. Just no cutesy crap.

It does seem to to be worse with boys clothes for some reason.
