Disposable ladies razors-is there any diff

FluffyMummy123 · 26/01/2011 19:30

And firstly I want disposable, I don't want to wax etc, am not hairy, shaving no issue.

So I tend to get a purple?wilkinson ?Venus one. ( just look at that brand awareness!!!)

Is there'd any difference?

I think Venus etc smoother

Are we talking legs or muff?

FluffyMummy123 · 26/01/2011 19:33

God legs.

It's winter after all ;)

Ahh, yes

In that case, Venus

StartingAfresh · 26/01/2011 19:34

Do you have brothers?

If you had brothers you'd realise that mens razors (especially twin) are much more efficient and cheaper.

I prefer wilkinson mens twin blade, but I'm VERY hairy, in fact, if left to grow my lady garden plaits with my inner-thigh hair.

Cyb · 26/01/2011 19:35

Yes but they aren't pastel coloured

FluffyMummy123 · 26/01/2011 19:38

Or named after 80s hits

Like Er " the too shy too shy for intimate areas"

And girly ones have that stupid moisturising strip which gungs up the blade!

Keep away from mositurising strips if you want a sharp shave!

Cyb · 26/01/2011 19:41

You can't roller skate or shower in a waterfall if you use mens ones

tethersend · 26/01/2011 19:42

Get the the one that's like a prison razor- blades embedded in a bar of soap.

Intuition or somesuch wanky name.

It's brilliant, though.

tethersend · 26/01/2011 19:43

And then you don't need foam

StartingAfresh · 26/01/2011 19:46

Oh complete forgot about the foam. Long gone are those days for me.

Odd as it sounds, I use Johnsons baby shampoo as my shaving foam. It is nice and slippery and hasn't got any soap so not drying.

Completely forgot it wasn't normal to do this.

Nah, foam clogs the blades too.

FluffyMummy123 · 26/01/2011 19:47

I've never used foam

OP posts:
Cyb · 26/01/2011 19:48

Me neither. Soap or shower gel

How gripping for you all

tethersend · 26/01/2011 19:57

Oooh, have very dry/sensitive skin so couldn't do without some sort of -ahem- lubrication.

Seriously, prison razor. Do it.

Housemum · 27/01/2011 12:57

The BIC women's ones are useless - actually most of them are useless and over-priced. Going back to Gillette Blue 2 (now that IS 1980s, I remember the adverts).
