Thinking about spring/summer wardrobe - Help!

Hi

DD2 will be one in March (DD1 is five). I haven't had any decent clothes for what feels like ages, what with being pregnant, then not bothering to buy too much post pregnancy.

I'm 5'9" and a pear shaped 10 top, 12/14 bottom. I'm 36 btw.

I used to love fashion and clothes shopping, but that's taken a backseat in the last few years and I no longer know what suits me, what's 'in' etc...

We don't have much spare cash for a new wardrobe, though having said that, I'd rather buy a few decent quality things than loads of cheap tat (i.e Primark, New Look etc - in my experience it just falls to bits and looks crap).

As far as overall taste goes, I'm not a really girly type, but do wear skirts or dresses. I don't like anything blingy either.

Can someone pleeeeaaaase give me some ideas?

Try the Brora Cashmere website. There are some really comfortable jersey dresses that have just been reduced.I have just bought 3 and they look lovely on and are easy to wash. Also the thermal t-shirts with a deep v are really pretty. However Brora is fairly girly!.I have also ordered some Boden cashmere in the sale -whish is really good value so maybe worth a try.

I've just ordered the denim, button skirt and a few tops from Seasalt Seasalt Cornwall. I've also got their boyfriend-like jeans from last year, and a pretty tea dress from White Stuff. Hoping that might see me through - hate buying summer clothes.

Also a couple of little cardigans, and a light weight jacket - I've got a tan light-weight mac that I got years ago in Gap and it's still going strong. Some long silk scarfs too.

I always find the bottom half hardest - I've just ordered some chinos and skinny cargos from uniqlo. I'm hoping that with plain t-shirts, a blazer and some nice scarves they will see me through into the summer (when fashion fails me completely!!)

Oh if only we could dress for spring or autumn all year...
