i have TNF Arctic Parka Grin and love it but wanted a mid-season coat for those non-baltic days here in Ireland that up'd the style stakes a bit.

oooooh, excited now.

The kids stuff is adorable too, my son loves vikings and i love the boy tees.

I didn't even know they did adults' stuff! DS has a Viking top that we love.

willowstar · 25/01/2011 20:23

i have the shocking pink winter coat with red spotty lining...I absolutely love it. i would never have known about it without MN. I hadn't even considered mid-season coats...oh dear!!! off to have a browse...

willowstar · 25/01/2011 20:25

To many coats I love ! Grin. Loving the bright pink and the purple ones... oh and the stripped ones..Hmm

jamaisjedors · 26/01/2011 10:13

Are the winter coats warm enough to be actual COATS (and not just macs iyswim)?

chocolatebonbons · 26/01/2011 12:41

hmmm, i don't know about the warmth factor. am buying mine for spring wear, you know those days where it's wet but not cold. i just want a stylish March to October waterproof coat. with a hood. in a nice colour. to my knee.

i'll stick to TNF for my 'brrrrrrr' coat.

it hasn't arrived yet, when it does, i'll be back to report.

PS, am one who wasn't impressed with the Merrell Wakefield and sent it back.

Jamaisjedors, the winter Danefae much is warmer than I thought. I've worn my pink Danefae in - 5 C ... + 10 C. Snow, sleet and rain, always toasty. We've now had snow continuously since November and I've worn my Danefae nearly every day. Pretty impressed. Sizing: true to size or even slightly on the small side.

Sprogger, I wish I had bought the midseason version with the shocking pink lining - loved it. Now it's gone, and I don't like the current black one as much.

And no, I wouldn't wear my Danefae to the opera. But for everyday stuff - running errands in the city, commuting in bad weather, taking children to the playground - it's unbeatable. Also, if you get slightly muddy or splashed, it's much easier to clean than other materials.

It's arrived. Now that was quick, three days from Denmark to Dublin Shock

All i can is this: I LOVE IT (sorry for caps, but am tres excited) Grin

Have had one small twirl in it and it's great. Perfect coat for when i pack away my TNF Arctic, which hopefully will be in a few weeks.

Seems to be true to size, great colour, pockets galore, hood, stylish, knee length, lined, lovely silkey sleeve lining, can wear on school run and out n about. Would even take me on a night out i reckon, over my lovely little 50s dresses and Vivienne Westwood pumps.

Thanks to DonAna for the original tip, way back on another thread.
