i have avoided the other nights out but this is the last night out having finished training school, i dont want to seem like a miserable old git
(which i am)

its a night out, (starting at 3pm in the afternoon so us oldies can go home before we fall asleep) pubbing it in sheffield. never ever go out and ive no idea what to wear - i was thinking black or dark blue skinny jeans (legs ok with heels!)with high heels (patent leather platforms) but id need a longish top to cover my arse....

im a size 12/14. no idea on budget but not loads - high st is fine.

am open to suggestions/ideas re alternative outfits! i am clueless. i never go out. i either do very dressy (like xmas 'do' dressy) or live in a uniform or pyjamas! help! please! or ill end up not going again cos i havnt a clue what to wear and thats a crap excuse....

Can you ask the other girls what they're planning to wear? Might help you to judge it a bit better?

Skinny jeans are always a winner because they're the right mix of casual enough for a 3pm start but will still be dressy enough with your heels for in the evening.

You can get a longish top if you're worried about showing off your bum, but try one thats a little bit low cut if poss - so you're not too covered up! Do you have a black blazer or something to throw on over your top? Then a nice necklace/earrings and handbag and you're good to go! Smile

i am hopeless with dresses, i have no idea how to wear them. i own 1. but its my xmas do dress and probably not going to work on a night on the tiles!

lola - brilliant idea re the blazer - i dont own one but am wondering if i can do an emergancy shop....i dont really wear much in the way of jewellery but love it and am open to that too!

where would i get a blazer....wondering if a mad dash to meadowhall would help...
