The endless bag quest...

I need a large, leather, tan coloured bag.

It must fit and A4 folder and (preferably) a laptop, so huge.

It must go on my shoulder- but not hang too low, so no satchels; I'd like it to fit under my arm.

Budget is about £100- ebay links most welcome!

Where have you looked already?

We have a company in Canada called Roots that makes wonderful leather bags for about that price point. You can sometimes find them on Ebay for less ( they have a website but not sure if they ship internationally). Their stuff is not too dressy, not too casual and lasts FOREVER.

I was thinking about a white stuff sarah bag but it sold out - however I'd like a long strap too so it wasn't ideal, but might be for you. There might still be one kicking around in a store or it might turn up on ebay.

I never used to get "nice" bags but now I really want a proper leather one - not designer for the sake of it, just well-made and lovely.

The Antonella large bag is approx 42 x 40 x 16cm.

I love Peony and Moore bags, that one is gorgeous tapselteerieO...:)

I have the Peony and Moore Evelina Large bag - it's lovely - all leather made in Italy -- large enough for all my stuff and my lap top - both handles and a long canvas strap and the Olive is in their sale at the moment!!

I am coveting this lovely bag Not quite tan but gorgeous neutral I thought. Recently realised not all Kipling bags are nasty lilac nylon, Ive bought a few really stylish ones and they are v well made and they are reasonable in the sale

I bought a bargain leather Pied a Terre bag last year in the sale from Fenwicks. It's big enough for a laptop/A4 size as I wanted a nice big handbag/toddler stuff bag. Good quality.
Similar to this satchel in size.

TapselteerieO- I do not like the first one, it doesn't look like it would comfortable fit an A4 folder/laptop combo- although the colour is what I want. Which rules out the other two, sorry. I am not keen on Peony and Moore bags either. Thanks for looking though.

Popbiscuit I had a look at the site, thanks. They do ship to the UK. The only one I sort of like is this one but it's a bit like a shopper and I'm not sure I want to pay that much for something I sort of like IYSWIM. Will keep an eye on the site though, thanks.

ameliameerkat All those bags look lovely but all have too long a strap; I want a bag to sit just under my arm IYSWIM. However, I did think of getting the large retro satchel and shortening the strap, but they are out of stock

I like the shape of the per una one, but I want a deep tan colour. Also not sure about the pattern on it. Close though! Tk maxx ones not deep enough and Clarks one is a bit too casual, although it is growing on me...

I know what you mean though - there are so many million different bags out there but finding one you really love is hard.

Tapsel, I love that Modalu one- if only it had longer straps. I like the Cynthia, but the tan is the wrong shade.
