As the title says really Grin

I can't tell from online pictures just how bright it is.

I've just got some Elena peacock boots! I'd say they are a bit more turquoisy than the Schuh picture suggests - I don't know about you but this comes up quite blue-grey on my computer.

They're more like this Scorpio Shoes picture, maybe a tiny bit darker. As you can see if you zoom in on the Scorpio picture, the leather is grainy, which means it doesn't look as shiny/bright as in that same picture. If that makes sense.

OK, I think I've found the best representation of them - here.

They seemed quite a chalky colour to me.

Have you been able to try the style on? It is very narrow at the bridge then wide over the toes - didn't fit me at all Sad

vesela · 17/01/2011 18:50

I didn't find the Elenas narrow in the bridge (although I did find some other DMs I tried on narrow, but that was because they had a seam over the bridge).

They are quite wide in the foot, though - which is good for me because my feet are quite wide, but if your feet are very narrow might not be so good.

I tried on a Monika in the shop, then took my chances on the Elena fitting the same way, and it did.

talking of DM, these are nice.

thank you Smile

i am thinking about these ones but didn't want a ridiculously turquoise shade or a dingy grey shade

but i think its fine

I think those are the ones I had trouble trying on because of the seam over the bridge! I may have quite a high instep, though.

KnitterInTheNW · 17/01/2011 19:48

I got my 2nd pair of the wedge ones for christmas in grape, I've had the black ones for years and are the comfiest things ever. The grape ones are slowly being stratched with a boot stretcher, and the bridges are much looser now.

QueenOfFlamingEverything · 17/01/2011 19:52

how do the sizes come up?

i don't think i have a high instep...

The ones you linked to were the ones I tried on. I have never had a problem with getting my feet into any other boots.

I wear lace up DMs all the time - those ones seemed quite a different shape. They look great though.

QueenofFE, those turphoise ones are fab, I love them!
