How do you wear yours?

I've seen some really nice BIG hairclips that have flowers/peacock feathers on them for a few quid. Am getting quite bored with how I look at the mo so thought these would brighten me up until I save up to get some new clothes.

How do you wear your hair to put them in? Do you pin it up & then slide one into it? Or, just plonk the clip on the side.

The actual clip itself is very small, just the decorative bit is huge so not very much to hold it in your hair iyswim?

I'd link but can't find anything similar online & can't be arsed to spend ages searching (probably not done a good job describing them either)

TIA if you read this far & have a clue what I'm on about Smile

dd 13 has v long wavy hair (kate bush stylee)
and plonks it on side - doesn't really hold hair back but looks fab

I'm more after something to look pretty rather than hold my hair back, it gives me headaches when I tie it up. Might nip and get one tomorrow or Tuesday to try out.

I have a short, choppy, messy, style and I plonk randomly.

Mirrors confuse me so I just plonk without looking.

It's not there to hold hair back or out of my eyes as it's so short - it's there to cheer me up and make me feel funky.

I probably look an arse but no-one's ever actually said that and I have very honest friends.

Treat yourself to a dead cheap one and just try it. That way you've not lost much and you can always treat yourself to a more extravagant one if you like it.

They make lovely gifts too if you have a birthday coming up.

I'd also clip it onto a shirt or jumper for the same 'brightening' effect. Always cheers me up!

Good idea Ooopsadaisy, my sister wears things like that all the time, might pick her one up for that. Saves me struggling to find her something at the time

Will nip in Primark and see if they have some in there that way I've only spent a couple of quid. Just hope I don't look a plonker, I always look at people wearing stuff like that & think "I wish I could get away with wearing things like that". Maybe now I'm getting older and am more confident in myself is the time to try

I'll try the clip on a jumper or shirt as well, never thought of that & God knows they could do with some brightening up at the mo
