do you ever really wear your summer clothes?

Now that the spring collections are around, i wonder how worth while it is to buy summer stuff.

I have 2-3 "nice" dresses and they get worn a few times over the summer.

Most of the time I spend my time in linen trousers, capris and the odd skirt.

(I work from home and when I meet clients it's smart casual).

anyone else the same?

I love the chance to wear lightweight summer clothes. Thin skirts and floaty dresses, sandals, no tights, light cardigans, no coats, little hats, etc.

well I am too old for floaty dresses and smart dresses feel uncomfortable in the heat. But I agree in principle.

I wear my summer clothes - but I live in Australia and it is hot.

Though because I work in a super air-conditioned office, an emergency cardie is essential, as often you end up shivering at your desk when in is 40 Celsius outside (which I think is 110 in UK weather measurements)

hulababy - what little hats do you wear? [curious]

Most people in the UK use celsius these days.

In answer to the OP - I never get full wear out of my summer clothes because we get so little really hot weather. I have shorts that are several years old (I'm talking about double figures here) and they still don't look well worn.

Not really. I tend to buy pretty spring clothes and layer them up with cardies, long sleeved t-shirts.

We rarely get a scorching hot day to wear proper light summer clothes.

No. I seem to wear the same things year round. I always want to wear my nice summer skirts etc. but I live in the Highlands, it's almost never warm enough, so they are unforatunately confined to holidays... :(
