Good but cheap liquid (or block) eyeliner?

Any recommendations? I've been using Dior style liner which was OK, if a little glossy. It's finished and I need a much cheaper replacement. MIL uses a fab Channel block eyeliner, I don't suppose any of the high street brands do similar?

I don't get on with pencils, it always ends up looking like I've let DD apply it.

I'm a SHAM to two toddlers so I need something waterproof or at least with excellent staying power. I've got dark enough circles as it!

I've got some MAC dark soul (black) pigment which goes on a treat with a wet brush but it doesn't stay put at all. Is it the same story with all black shadow applied wet as an eyeliner?

Rimmel liquid eyeliner is the best Ive tried. Its not the pen one its in cone shaped packaging IYSWIM, about £6 I think and really easy to apply and lasts well (I have an issue keeping make up on but this is good!)

Just googled it, its Rimmel Exaggerate Liquid eyeliner

I like the bodyshop's liquid eyeliner. It is more rigid than a brush and stays in place all day.

I use Bourjois Liner Feutre it is a soft felt-tip type applicator - really easy to use and costs £5.99. Really quick to apply

If you have an eBay account, have a look at this. It's a great brand and a bargain- I bought one and it's really good, lasts all day!

Thanks all, I had a look in town and I can't get the rimmel or thr bourjois Hmm No bodyshop here either...

I'd love to get the benefit one (what a bargin!) but they only seem to ship within the UK.

the only thing I saw that looked anything like ok was a Boujois 'clubbing' liquid liner the brush was everso thin, not sure if that's a good thing.

anyone got anymore tips?

L'oreal's Super Liner is also very good, it's only £6 as well and it goes on very easily.

Yes, I've just had a recommendation for L'Oreal Superliner. It's next on my list to try. I've been using Illamasqua's Precision Ink which is great if you want something waterproof but you have to work quite quickly and precisely with it. It's also slightly glossy which I'm not sure you're after.

Borjois (sp) felt tip liner is brilliant, but you know the best one? (I was amazed by this)
Avon link and it's £4 and it is bloody fab.
Lovely and soft and creamy.
Long lasting too.

BustleInYourHedgerow · 16/01/2011 10:31

I like no. 7, but i do use a base with it, the urban decay genie thing.

sazm · 16/01/2011 11:16

i have the avon one,its lovely when put on,but it doesnt last (on me anyway) i put mine on at about 9am and have to re-do at 11am ish!

TooManyButtons · 16/01/2011 20:36

Another vote here for L'Oreal Superliner. It goes on really easily and lasts all day.

Thanks all. I don't seem to be able to get any of the recommendations where I am (non-UK) Angry

I guess I'll just have to use some of my christmas money to get some more expensive stuff...
