Where to buy a little black dress?

I am going to a wedding in feb where I shall be making a speech for the bride. I want to look elegant and am thinking of investing in a LBD that I can wear again.

I'd like something knee length or just above, ideally with upper arm coverage, suitable for hourglass figures.

Any hot tips out there for where to buy one?

Oooh indeed - you guys are good! Budget's around 100. Am thinking of going for the classic Isabella Oliver 365 wrap dress in black - it's on sale and I can get lots of wear out of it after the party... But if money was no object I'd definitely love to spend an evening wearing that Vivienne Westwood number!
