Bought Estee Lauder's double wear today

She offered me the full one or the light one. Glad I went for the light one as even that is pretty full (for me anyway!).

So far so good though. Quite like it!

Put it on myself this morning and it is still there.

I've bought many tubes of this. I really rate it actually - good coverage, long-lasting, smells nice, user-friendly packaging...

My only complaint it that they could do with producing more colours. I always have a 2 and a 3 on the go. The 3 is the perfect colour for me in high summer and for the rest of the year I put a blob of each on my foundation brush and then mix them in as I apply.

Do you like to use powder on top? I use Clinique's "Almost Make up" powder compact - just sweep a small amount over my face (avoiding the eye area so as not to sit in wrinkles) with a large Mac powder brush.

It is still there and looking good! Yes, I dusted a touch of poweder (bobbi brown one).

i bought this today too, but the bottle not tube - didnt realise there was a full one and a light one??

anyway - was sceptical much - especially as i also bought the foundation brush aswell and nearly had heart attack at the till at the price!!
however - have come home and 'done' half my face with it and left half with the old foundation - and dd has said the half done looks flawless!
will test it properly tomorrow - i have oily skin so will be most impressed if it stays put!

EL do Double Wear in a glass bottle - lots of shades, full coverage and extremely long-lasting.

Also Double Wear Light in a squirty plastic tube - limited number of shades, slightly more sheer (medium to full) coverage and still long-lasting.

See how you get on - these high-end companies are often quite good about exchanging an item within a week or two of purchase (as long as you have your receipt) as a gesture of goodwill if you've made a genuine mistake.

The original Double Wear that you've bought is a cult item though!

Love double wear, glides on, lasts all day. love it!

well ill give i a try tomorrow and see how it goes on, its a slightly different shade to my old one but the woman on the counter was really good, weighed up my skin tone immediately and then tried 3 different shades from that tone...

i think im quite pleased with it but i'll have a proper go with it tomorrow in a natural light - im putting it on with the brush so i'll go easy with it!
