My Boden Sale delivery has arrived

It was my first order (although I have bought from ebay before) and I am really chuffed. Got DS some tops which are lovely and bought myself the purple chelsea dress. The dress is a 20R sits just above my knee and fits beautifully (even on the bust!) - I am really chuffed with it and shall be wearing it on Feb 14th as I wanted something smart/casual.

one odd thing though, before it was dispatched, i was told that one of the items i had ordered was out of stock and had been removed from my order. But then i received it! Odd! no notification that it had been put back on......

I've got a Chelsea dress too - wore it to work today and I'm very pleased.

I just ordered from the sale and got free delivery too at checkout? Bought 3 things for £20...bargainous :)

How did you get free delivery MmC?

I have tried the codes and even called them after I had made an order asking if I could add something else and they said no, I had to pay delivery again, although it was for an item worth £8.

I even quoted MN ffs!Grin

I love my chelsea dress though and have ordered 2 more! It's breastfeedable in!

QueeferSutherland - That's odd - I placed an order a couple of days ago, and phoned yesterday to ask if I could add an £8.50 scarf from the sale.

They said no, the order was already picked, so I said, well, never mind, I'll leave it then. They immediately said they would send the scarf separately with free P&P! I was very charming on the phone, though. Wink

Ordered online last weekend and was not charged postage even though I was only buying sale items, used the 15% off code given somewhere here on MN, which gave me free postage and returns (obv not the 15% off as I was buying sale items)

I think the free postage thing returns once the new season clothes go online.

I placed three orders, separately, paid postage...I had a lot to send back and was dreading it but then one of the items arrived damaged and they are now sending me a free returns label.

Do you think it would be unethical to use this label for all the other stuff too?

I feel a bit guilty about it.

gah - you lot are so bad - i was just innocently browsing mumsnet in my lunch hour and now have bought £105 worth of stuff from boden!! i blame you all!

Thanks Stew. In a karmatic sort of way I had a horrible hour or two after posting it (massive box, about 3kg) using the contract label.

the woman in the pO was really passibe aggressive and kept saying 'how much is it worth?' Me: about £180 Blush Her: well do you want to insure it? Me: I thought it was covered under the stated contract, which is surely between yourselves and Boden? Her: Well I don't know if it is or not, I'm just a jobsworth cow Post Office worker. I don't know what the contract says.

I'm sure it's in the fine print. You'll just have to risk it'.

Me: Sullen and deadpan 'thanks for your help'.

It's a sodding Post Office contract. She could at least have looked it up.

I rang Boden just now and apparently as long as we have the proof of posting, it's all FINE.

I hate that woman. She's always like that.

Apparently the only way to insure would have been special delivery - around £25...do you think PO staff get commission on SD?

Mine arrived today too.

Chelsea dress is lovely, and the 70s one with the baggy sleeves.

I also ordered the courdroy dress which I'm umming and ahhing about. It's not as fitted as I would like but a smaller size wouldn't fit over my arse.

I might keep it as a casual, with leggings kind of thing.

Huge excitement here - I bought the borwn wool dress and have been kicking myself that I don't have it in another colour - just looked on line and they have the navy one! Can't wait for it to arrive. Smile

I'm returning all my stuff.

Had visions of looking like the model in the catalogue.

The reality was I looked like my 74 year old MIL in one of her golfing outfits.

Very disappointed.
