DD fine Hair - to bob or not to bob

DD(5) has fine straight (prone to looking straggly) hair, oh, and a cowslick.

Anyway, she recently told me she would like her hair cut to just below chin length. My first thought was that it probably wouldn't look right as her hair isn't thick. But now wondering if it will infact work as her hair is so straight and it might stop it looking so straggly.
Anyone got any experience of 'bobs on not thick hair'!

And, is a bob an easy cut for any hairdresser. I take her to the local one and she normally has a junior who is 'ok', why do kids always have dry cuts or is it just my experience so far?

Bob are the best cut on straight fine hair IMO. Will make it seem thicker. Just below chin would be cute and manageable.
