I need to start looking for an outift for my brother's spring wedding, but I'm so uninspired having trawled the JL, Monsoon, Coast, Phase Eight etc. websites.

Does anyone have links for other shops that are a little bit different? Willing to spend up to approx £200 for a dress- then extra on accessories (won't need a hat).

I guess I'm a fairly conservative dresser, but I'm only 35 and don't want to always be a frumpy mummy!

Many thanks for any suggestions.

How tall are you?
What's your dress size?
What's your colouring?
Any must haves/nots (sleeveless etc.)?

Fayrazzled · 11/01/2011 20:55

5'5, dress size 14 but hope to be a 12 by then.
Colouring: blonde hair, fair skin, blue eyes
Biggish boobs; apple shaped. Usually go for v-necks or crossovers; draping across the tummy etc. Don't mind having my lower legs out but nothing higher than the knee.

Many thanks!

I've trawled through the net and can't find anything either! Sad

I wore a red with white polka dots Vivienne of Holloway dress to my brothers wedding, and it looked great, was much complimented, and wasn't v expensive as I bought on ebay

grey, one shoulder maxi, very ostentatious

and if you hate it at least you have a link to the Debenhams website Grin

Sorry lauriefairy but that dress is absolutely revolting! Cheap and nasty looking.

OP - take a look at Jesire, they usually have some really nice things. When my sister got married I wore a fabulous coat & dress from there. It was much admired. And the shop where I bought them locally only stocks one of each size in things like the coat so there was little chance of anyone else havig the same one on the day. Although that obviously doesn't apply to internet shopping!

I would wait till the spring range is launched and then take a look there. Good luck!
