Help me please!

Going out for a meal with colleagues and I need an outfit. We went out at Christmas and I felt frumpy compared to others my age. I like the idea of a dress (with sleeves), opaque tights and shoe boots. Does that sound ok? Also I can't find a dress that would look good with opaques and shoe boots - all mine are too dressy IYSWIM?

If any kind soul could link me to something amazing I'd be eternally grateful
