Hi, I have long brown hair, and just a few highlights that were done in the hairdressers, which I don't want to keep up. What home kit can I use to cover over safely, the highlights that are now getting roots?

Every brand (Clairol, L'Oreal) I tried that was semi-perm didn't work and left me with pale brown dirty looking hair.
I would go for a permanent for the coverage and hopefully someone will come along later to helpSmile as I went way too dark and had goth hair (and very dull) for months.

Alternatively, I know it sounds stupid, but have a professional colour one last time. I had to resort to this once after a marmalade incident.
