Bikinis....!

Hi everyone,
I gave birth to my beautiful daughter at the end of October 2010, and I am planning on going on holiday for a week this august. I've been breastfeeding and without going into too much detail, I need a bikini that gives me a bit more of a lift now! Any suggestions? I've looked on maxcleavage.com which has brill reviews but at £70 a pop I'd either better start saving or buy a cheaper alternative! Help would be great, thanks!!

I'm usually about a 34B, size 10, but need to be careful as my bottom half is a bit on the large side! x

I know that feeling! After bf my boobs now disappeared to a 32A. I found a great bikini from new look which had moulded cups, no longer in shops but found something similar here, decent sized bikini bottoms too
this looks well supported and patterns draw away from any lumps and bumps

How about Next bikini's? They do good underwired ones and you can buy separate size tops and bottoms. Their new range is online and they are pretty. I've bought a maternity one but I might buy a normal one in a bigger size too.

If you're looking for a bit of 'lift' have you considered buying a moulded top and putting small chicken fillets in?
I went away when I was BFing DD and when she'd finished (esp as it was hot) one boob was about 2 sizes smaller than the other until the milk came in so I bought some of these so I could put one in and have 'even' looking boobs!

Even now you've finished BF they'll definitely give you a lift and a boost - I have a few friends who swear by them and then you can choose whichever bikini you want to wear with them!
Have a great hol!

Thanks everyone, i love that stripy one from next! I've seen those chicken fillets in primark, only about 4 quid i think. I've had them before I was pregnant, but in a bikini I'm terrified of them falling out, I'd be mortified! And if it would happen to anyone, no doubt it would be me haha. Also, one more thing, I have a few stretchmarks still from october, do you have any suggestions on anything to help fade them? Or if any of you have had/got them, how long did it take for them to fade on their own? x

I know what you mean about worrying they might fall out! :) happened to me aged about 16 with the old wonderbra pads - it came creeping out in front of the boy I fancied and he said 'what's this?!' very embarrassing! :)
With the stretchmarks I have quite a few on my tummy and can't really remember when they faded but (was well within a year though) i just kept moisturising regularly with a dove cream, I think.
I tried bio oil and cocoa butter but it seemed to make no difference. If you've got until august that is plenty of time for them to fade on their own.
What I did find though, was having a tan actually hid them really well and you could only see them in a certain light (if you're planning on a bit of R & R in the sun!)
When you come back you will look and feel super fab! :)

massage cocoa butter into stretch marks, don't think this gets rid but keeps skin nice and supple and smells great! Don't worry about them and have a great hol

Gracie2010 · 09/01/2011 14:10

Haha oh god that sounds just like me! I used bio oil throughout my pregnancy religiously twice a day, everyday, and I've got them on my hips, thighs and tummy! I'll try dove, I've tried everything else! I like the look of that Dove gradual tan moisturiser so I might try that too. Smile
