I thought you might be able to help me!
I need an Alice in Wonderland inspired outfit, please help me find one!
I have a few months to get it together, but want to be organised!
I want to go for the Tim Burton type Alice in WOnderland, more than the Disney, as it is more my style anyway (I am a fan of the crazy back combed hair look, which I wear daily Blush ).
It does not necessarily have to be 'Alice' I suppose, could have elements of the Mad Hatter.
I am not too sure tbh!
I am not as slim as I once was, so size 12, sometimes 14 to allow for big boobies. Wouldn't mind the outfit to be made up of pieces that could be worn again in a less dramatic fashion.
Sorry - I feel I am being rather fussy - and i hope you can help!
Not sure on budget, but would be prepared to pay more for something I could wear again.

So who do you feel like channelling?
Red Queen, White Queen, Alice herself?

Are you aiming for a full-on fancy dress look, or something very subtle?

You might be able to google this (or someone might know the name of the prog) but within the last year there was a prog. on Ch4 IIRC that was about themed weddings organised by wedding planners.

Anyway, one of them had an Alice in Wonderland theme to it and I'm sure there were some Tim Burton-esque style outfits on there including the brides outfit.

piprabbit - I think either Alice or the Mad Hatter - I think they will be more wearable! Parading around as a queen is not really me!

Norbert - thanks, I will try and look for it later when ds has a nap.

Yessss to that episode of Wedding House (should be on 4OD). Loads of inspiration there.
I would have thought what I call "goth shops" in your nearest big town/city would have a lot of things that you would love, usually not too expensive either. I have got fab net underskirts/fascinators from the ones near us.
If you got a pale blue 50's dress with white net petticoats, wear with a black waspie over it, stripy tights, high heels, Alice band, rosy cheeks and mental hair you'd have a sexy Alice costume and the bits would all work with other outfits too?

I want one now but have nowhere to wear one!
