Rapidlash eyelash enhancing serum... I am trying it out.

It was on my Xmas list because I could never afford to treat myself to it (think it's £35?).

I started applying it on Xmas day and have to use it every night. Apparently I should have thicker lashes in 8 weeks Hmm.

If this stuff works then I can give up mascara.

Will keep you posted.....

It worked for me!

I was very sceptical, but my eyelashes were falling out, and they are naturally black, so it was very noticeable. I can't remember exactly how long I've been using it for, about five or six weeks I think. Am just beginning to run out. I noticed a difference within 2 or 3 weeks. All my missing lashes have now grown back, and they are now longer and thicker. It's amazing, and I will definately repurchase. I've even had compliments about my lashes from people who had no idea I was using it.

Celery · 03/01/2011 14:34

I don't use it every day now, because the lashes were literally getting out of hand. Just every two or three days for maintenance.

Meglet · 03/01/2011 14:50

I was thinking about the maintenance thing too. Once this tube is finished I'm hoping I have enough Boots points to buy my next tube.

LOL at lashes getting out of hand. I did wonder if mine would end up looking like a Drag Queen .

Ooh interested in updates.

Cheeser · 03/01/2011 16:26

Ooh this sounds interesting.... will watch this thread Wink

mumofloads · 03/01/2011 18:11

I like the sound of this.

Off to Boots.

Bumperlicious · 03/01/2011 18:35

So it really makes your eyelashes longer and thicker?

Celery · 03/01/2011 18:38

It really really does. Well, it worked for me anyway. Has had lots of good reviews on youtube too. It's expensive, but the tube has lasted me about six weeks, and like I said, I don't have to use it every day now.

I don't think I would have spend the money on a whim, but was desperate, and I'm so glad I did.

JustAnother · 03/01/2011 18:42

some web site list it as "enhancing serum" and others as "renewal serum". Does anyone know whether it is the same product?

notapizzaeater · 03/01/2011 18:43

Santa bought me a tube as well, am 1 week in and a couple of people have noticed Smile

cornshilk007 · 03/01/2011 18:44

wonder what it's like long term though - would be tempted by that but would worry about split ends or summat

superv1xen · 03/01/2011 18:45

i was bought some of this about six weeks ago and have been using it most days, i have DEFINITELY noticed a difference!

also my lashes seem darker at the roots Confused not sure whether thats meant to happen or not! or whether its just because they are denser.

but yeah i think it works somehow. my lashes look pretty great

Celery · 03/01/2011 18:46

I don't know, JustAnother, there is only one available in Boots.

It comes in a tube, like a liquid eyeliner, and that is how you apply it. A good tip is to apply a coat both above and underneath your upper lashes.

JustAnother · 03/01/2011 18:48

thanks Celery. It must be the same product that I found in treatyourskin.com then. I'll think I'll get it through Boots just in case, though.

TheFutureMrsClooney · 03/01/2011 20:35

£24.75 on eBay..........you've talked me into it!

Meglet · 03/01/2011 20:39

I wasn't sure about how to apply it as I don't wear liquid liner but have got the knack of it now.

navyeyelasH · 03/01/2011 20:45

Do you reckon you can stick it on your hair?!?

Meglet · 03/01/2011 20:46

I think it would be very expensive Grin.

The packet says you can use it on eyebrows too.

Cheeser · 04/01/2011 19:57

I bought some today! Am excited. Celery you said a good tip is to apply a coat both above and underneath your upper lashes... how do you apply to underneath them? I am an expert at applying eyeliner but surely underneath your upper lashes is your eyeball? Confused

Celery · 04/01/2011 21:57

Lift up your eyelid, and paint the serum underneath the top lashes, kind of almost on the inside of your eyelid, but not quite, because it's so close to the lash line.

Cheeser · 05/01/2011 08:04

Ah I see - thanks Celery. First application was last night! Very excited about this for some reason Hmm Grin

I bought mine in Boots, it was in one of those plastic cases to prevent theft. Marked at £39 something on the shelf but they hadn't applied the extra vat so it came to £40 something Angry. Still, I'm classing it as an xmas pressie to myself Wink

wendihouse22 · 15/03/2011 15:58

Original Poster..... did it work. We're more than 8 weeks on, now!

Meglet · 15/03/2011 22:11

oooh, I had been meaning to come back.

I think it's working actually. I need to take an 'after' photo for you all. Give me a few days to get round to taking one and I'll put a before and after on my profile and we can decide!

wendihouse22 · 16/03/2011 10:35

Nice.

I started with this some 5 or 6 weeks ago. Got some on the internet at £23.50 so, decided if it didn't work, it wasn't as bad as shelling out £40.

Here's my thoughts....

Whilst I can't say I can see fantastic changes I know it has worked because of two things. Firstly, when I put mascara on in the mornings...I have a problem now with my lashes touching under my brows and smudging the mascara which didn't happen before. So, I guess they are longer. Also, when I wake in the morning, my lashes have started to curl slightly which means that as I've slept on them, being longer, they are resting against the pillow and the tips are curling upward.

Nothing drastic, but there does seem to be an improvement, less lash fall when taking off mascara and so, slightly more abundant lashes.

Not sure I'll repurchase. My try the Organic Castor Oil method makeupalley raves about.

Good luck with yours.

Meglet · 17/03/2011 20:37

wendi I agree, it's very subtle but it seems to work. I wonder what would happen if I kept using it (wouldn't be able to afford to eat for a start).

I've been slicking it on my eyebrows for a few days now as apparently eyebrows are back this season.
