Girl meets Pearl by Benefit - used it?

Hello

I succumbed to the persuasive Benefit make up person and purchased ?Girl meets Pearl? illuminator - see here bit.ly/dwwtUX It should make your skin "radiate". I have applied over make up (foundation and powder) and all it does is remove the make up...

Anyone use it successfully? There is a video on youtube of a home shopping channel show which includes a demo but I am still struggling.

Maybe it is a sign I am too old to be messing about with illuminators! LOL!

Heya, I have recently started using something similar (an illuminator from Becca) and have had comments on my 'glowing skin' (I am 38, and a teacher, say no more!)... I found exactly the same as you at first but then I watched a video by the lovely Lisa Eldridge that made it all clear - apply highlighter after foundation, and only powder those areas that REALLY need it (ie not your cheekbones!). It works really well. I wish I could remember which exact video it was - she uses it a lot though, so she applies it in more than one video.
