I have coloured hair. My scalp can be very scaly and dry but have greasy hair, need to wash every day.
I used to just avoid washing too often as i had long hair and by wearing it up and using dry shampoo managed fine.

I have a short bob now, so i am washing every day and my poor scalp is in tatters.

Have been reccomended WEN by a friend, also aveda but wanted to canvass opinion before investing in either as bith are pricey.

Cheers

I have switched to SLS-free stuff to control dandruff and itchy scalp. I use Dr Organic from Holland and Barrett, their aloe vera one is so good, I do a double shampoo followed by a little conditioner and my coloured, dry, curly hair goes very light and bouncy and shiny, and my scalp is very clear.

Only £4.99 as well.

I use L'Occitane herbal range shampoo in between as well which is ok, you are supposed to alternate it with other shampoos.

Head and Shoulders just perpetuates dandruff in the long run and also strips hair of colour, I have weaned myself off it completely now and feel much better for it.
