Lovely cardies?

I would like to spend some Christmas money on getting a good quality cardigan that will go with loads of things. Probably grey, and definitely long line, but not keen on waterfall style. Any suggestions of websites with good knitwear? Thanks.

Anthropologie sale

I got a grey boyfriend cardie and a grey short sequinned cardie in the Boden sale, my only 2 clothes-for-me sale purchases so far. The bf cardie is lovely, but has already started to boblle under the right arm, and a button has come off.

People were raving recently about a Phase 8 cardie in navy but I think also grey or charcoal, that was in the sale.

Thanks to you both - will keep an eye out for Brora sale (will have to be some serious reductions though Smile) and love anthropologie, not seen that stuff before.

I got a grey striped one from Kew sale. It's this one www.kew-online.com/fcp/product/womens-clothing/cardigans/Striped-Collar-Cardigan/99901997. Looks much nicer in real life and is very warm.

I love the look of this and am tempted

moragdingdongbellingham · 30/12/2010 21:36

this is lovely but obviously not grey! It's sooooo soft and very versatile.

moragdingdongbellingham · 30/12/2010 21:39

BTW - The phase eight cardi I find to be reallly voluminous and slightly shapelessConfused and is going back. Lots have raved about it though, so I'm in the minority there.

bambiandthumper · 30/12/2010 22:04

I second brora

dexter73 · 30/12/2010 22:22

I agree about the Phase Eight one - I sent mine back as it was huge and shapeless.

Meggles76 · 30/12/2010 22:26

so are the phase eight bf very generous. I have my eye on a charcoal grey one but only size 8 left and am usually a 10

brimfull · 30/12/2010 22:33

i like this one

jumpinghoops · 30/12/2010 22:39

Meggles, I got the phase eight one in a 10, am normally 10-12 and 10 is more than fine. It falls really nicely but I suspect from what others have said that is because I went smaller. The 8 should be fine.

Thanks for your suggestions - I am so indecisive, am away to my sister's today for new year so will get some advice and then get ordering.

Meggles, I got a S and a M and I'm a 10/12 in other shops and usually even phase eight itself. The S fits sizewise but the style is voluminous.
So, I think the brand is generous in general.
