J Brand or 7FAM - where am I better off spending my money?

I'm basically looking for a flattering pair of jeans. I'm a 5' 9", curvy size 12-14 and am thinking of either the mid-rise cigarette leg from J Brand or the Kimmie straight leg from 7FAM.

I don't have a muffin-top when standing up but do when sitting down, so something that can contain this without veering into frumpy is preferred.

I bought the high waisted straight leg 7FAM in black. They are super comfortable and very flattering. Even my mother thought I had lost weight when I was wearing them. I am heavy of thigh so find straight leg skinny enough for me but really recommend the high waist.

I have the J Brand mid-rise cigarette leg and recommend them, haven't tried the Kimmie though.
