Mulberry are amazing for the leather quality and wears well. Why would you not ue daily, wear it proud! Lovely pressy Grin

Paribus · 28/12/2010 14:47

make sure you waterproof it though- water tends to eave marks on mulberry bags

perfect choice! It's definitely an everyday bag (once waterproofed). Buy colonil spray - especially if you go for oak.

BCBG · 28/12/2010 15:22

Is that a spray they sell or something I can get anywhere?

The more you use it the better it will get. I've used my oak daily for a year and it's just starting to develop a beautiful patina

pagwatch · 28/12/2010 15:30

It's an everyday bag unless you chose something like the gold one.
I use mine for everyday and actually rarely alternate with others except in the summer..but thinking of getting a smaller one for summer as I love it so.

Good quality and robust so perfect for everyday.

AlexaMulberry · 28/12/2010 15:35

I've had my oversized black Alexa for about a year now, use it daily, still as good as new, DH got me the oversized Alexa in Oak for Christmas, much more suitable for Spring. And I'm on the waiting list for the Watermelon for Summer drool

It's a great everyday bag, unlike the Chanel 2.55 which for me is a 'good' bag.

faustina · 28/12/2010 16:05

I think they sell it, or the equivalent. If you do choose the oak I wouldn't use the bag until I'd done it. Black isn't such a big deal (but then it's not as pretty as oak)

BCBG · 28/12/2010 16:06

love the name, AM.. Grin

What a lovely present - my brother gave me a Bayswater 2.5yrs ago and I have used it almost every day since then and it's still in great condition. I haven't waterproofed it BTW and it has been shoved into the bottom of DD's pram a lot and is fine.

It's pretty spacious and robust - I ended up using it as a combined handbag/changing bag for DD and it's worked really well.

He chose it in a fantastic mid/denim blue colour which I think was limited edition. It's not what I'd have chosen if I was buying it myself as I would have been sensible and probably gone for black.

I'm really glad he didn't though - the colour means I've been able to use it in the spring/summer as well and I've had loads of compliments as it's a bit different (but not too out there!)

hifi · 28/12/2010 18:05

i find mine really heavy and havent used it as much as i thought. i also have the daria which drives me crazy as i have to use a bag within a bag as its so big.i would go for a hobo style tbh.

LWRF · 29/12/2010 00:02

I have it in chocolate brown, use nearlyevery day, tbh sprayed once but no marks...lovely present, off to check watermelon colour.. Enjoy tomorrow!

BCBG · 29/12/2010 19:41

Bayswater in Oak it is Grin! Thanks for all the advice. Gorgeous bright pink ostrich skin one there: Watermelon looks quite salmony in real life...
