Weekend in Stockholm in February

Hi all, is anyone out there Scandinavian or Swedish? Am wondering what to wear on my feet for a weekend break to Stockholm. It will obviously be cold - I have moon boots for the snowy weather here, but am assuming they are way better than us for clearing snowy pavements so need something to contend with slush/cold. Also will be in and out of heated buildings. What does the stylish Scandinavian city dweller wear on their feet?

what moon boots do you have? I would take something warm and waterproof but not necessarily huge moon boots...at least not for the city.
Plus carry indoor shoes in your bag to change into...buildings are very well heated and it can get very hot in big moon boots.

thanks for your response, I have the 'huge' moon boots, which I have learnt to my cost don't work in and out of shops/cafe's etc as I boil to death, but are great up and down snowy hills where I live. Off to peruse other alternatives..

I would suggest snow boots or even timberland boots with thick socks.
Chunky and grippy sole would be good but yes try to find a pair which you can wear indoors too without over-heating.

Just been to Oslo for a weekend. It was minus 16 most days and snow everywhere except for the most busy central streets. There's just so much snowfall, almost daily, and it doesn't melt or go slushy when it's so cold so it doesn't get removed.

Most people wear insulated boots of some kind and a down-filled coat. I wore Merrell Oslo's and they were great as well as a down coat. Wear wool socks, rather than cotton, or thick wool tights. Wool will keep your feet dryer and therefore warmer.

I didn't find my feet were too hot when going inside cafes etc.

Oh and fur trapper hats are all the rage...
