Knitwear bobbling on one side?

All my jumpers, cardies, dresses etc get bobbles on the lower left hand side about buttock height but on the side seam and slightly round the back. It's not because of a handbag (don't carry one), or where my watch is (too high for the bobbles), or from brushing against it in the car or anything like that.

What else could be causing it, and can I legitimately force DH to get me a Remington Fuzzaway for Christmas to resolve the situation Xmas Grin?

Do you carry a small DC around on that side?

Seat belt?

You probably scrape your arm along there when you walk

handbag

DD too big to carry more than once in a blue moon (am 32 weeks PG so she gets lifted above the bump!)

seat belt - it's the wrong side for the buckle, and I onlt get in the car once or twice a week.

arm - it would have to involve deliberatley bending my arm in a really weird way to get my hand to touch the side of my cardi at the relevant height - definitely not where my watch sits.

Any other ideas?!

it is obviously something- the way you w alk, rub your arm along your side, or maybe you even sit with your weight on your left side when you slouch on the sofa etc.

I find the right side of my jumpers bobbles more from carrying a shoulder bag and just generally "rubbing" that side more.

JumpJockey · 22/12/2010 10:44

ah - peony maybe you have it! DH sits on my left on the sofa and that's the side I usually end up leaning over on to nod off on his lap for intelligent conversation. Bingo!

Do you have a coat with an inside label on that side? It could rub when you walk.

JumpJockey · 22/12/2010 13:35

Will have a look WP, that's another good thought. It's certainly been going on for many years and I've had the same winter coat for ten.

Mystery soon to be solved!

All my jersey dresses bobble on one side and I worked out it was where a zip on the inside pocket of my coat was rubbing.

Very annoying!
