....why anyone would put anusol (a bum cream, right???) on your eyes??? Xmas Shock
Was reading that as a tip on the "help me glow in January" thread from last year that somehow got bumped today. Am I missing something here, or was that a mistake?

Think its meant to go on the fine lines around the eyes as a temporary pucker/lifting effect. Confused

purplepeony · 21/12/2010 18:46

it makes the skin tighter and reduces eye bags.

ShhhhSantaiscoming · 21/12/2010 18:47

as PP above said. Is meant to give the "tempory face life look".

TrinityMotherOfRhinos · 21/12/2010 18:47

so does it make your arse tighter?

LaurieFairyonthetreeEatsCake · 21/12/2010 18:48

It makes your piles shrink but on a vast area like a butt it wouldn't have much effect

Unless trinity you bought a vat of it..... Xmas Wink

TrinityMotherOfRhinos · 21/12/2010 18:50

yeah but I thought it was about soothing the bulging vein that is the piles not magically shrinknig it

Grin
Cyb · 21/12/2010 18:52

I have a blue bulgy (super attractive) vein that runs under one of my eyes- would LOVE to try anusol on it but am too scared

Go on, someone else do it, and I'll watch

lilacbauble · 21/12/2010 19:17

Why has it taken me until now to notice what the first four letters of this product spell, given that I have always known what it is for?!!

ShhhhSantaiscoming · 21/12/2010 19:24

Sierra19 · 21/12/2010 22:30

I HAVE done this, and admit it does have a good tightening effect, although it didn't last long.

Yes, it has a de-puffing effect. The same way it does on your arse by shrinking the veins. This was a beauty "trick" that was popular some years ago but I think there have been developments in eye creams since then based on the same theories of shrinking blood vessels in which caffeine has a similar effect. That's why so many eye creams have caffeine in them. Also, it's not advisable to use the pile cream method in the long term as it can make the skin under your eyes harden, or so I have been told. It was more of a quick fix for the day if your eyes were really puffy or tired (originally for actors who had very long shooting hours and early call times).
