I need to get DP a cardigan for xmas (don't ask)

I need the best quality for the least amount of money IYSWIM. Size Medium, budget £50. Anyone seen anything in the early sales?

He likes Fred Perry/Vintage, so anything with that sort of look, but essentially just a v-necked cardigan. Or v-necked jumper? I don't know. Help!

Something like this?

If you use the code PRESALE30B you would get 30% off.

And and and...

if you go through Quidco you get 15% cashback on my-wardrobe at the moment.

So I reckon it would cost you about £47 ultimately.

faustina · 19/12/2010 14:06

they won't let you use that code unless it was sent to you personally, sadly

tethersjinglebellend · 19/12/2010 14:18

OOoooohhh, good idea- they sent me the code too!

What's this quidco thing all about?

tethersjinglebellend · 19/12/2010 14:40

Right, have done exactly as you suggested Oooh. I hope I get the £15% cashback.

I forgot all about that code- he will absolutely love that, thank you Smile

Now to cross everything that it will arrive in time Confused

Happy to be of service, Tethers, you've helped me a million times Smile.

I heard about Quidco on here and now run everything possible through it.

I think how it works is that Quidco get a percentage commission on purchases made as a result of clicking on a link on their website. However, instead of keeping that commission they pass it on to the consumer, save that they keep the first £5 they make each year.

The cashback process isn't brilliantly quick - first of all your cashback is tracked, then the merchant has to "validate" the transaction (I guess confirming that it has actually occurred and isn't a computer error) which can take a few weeks. Then after a bit longer they make payment to Quidco and Quidco pass it on once a month.

Since starting to use it in August, I've so far earned cashback of about £330 and received about £100 of that. Brilliant, doesn't cost me a thing - apart from that initial fiver which has come out of cashback I have only received as a result of using Quidco anyway. I've used it for my-wardrobe, Brora, Question Air, Boden, White Company, broadband, Heals...

Big thumbs up from me.

Great advice, thank you Smile

Am quite excited I've got him something decent tbh. It's his birthday on Boxing day, which is the shittest day in the world to have a birthday. We said no presents, but I think he's earned that.

Spot on, well done. Do you know him? Should I be worried?

Is he a bit Welsh? With a penchant for conservative navy knitwear? Might be married to him...
