Petite people - is it possible to take up pre-dyed jeans?

Hi, I hope I can explain this without sounding like a complete numpty.

Managed to get a pair of 7 for all mankind jeans in TK Maxx, bargainous price so thought I'd try them out after glowing reports on here.

I'm 5 foot so would need to take jeans up by a good few inches. But.... when I got them home I noticed (don't know how I missed it in the shop!) that they have that vintage wash thing where they're slightly faded on the bum and down the front of the legs. Obv it's supposed to finish at the knees but on short arse me it's mid shin.

My question is, does this matter (i think it might look a bit daft?), would anyone notice? Or does anyone know if there's any way around this?

Apologies if I've not explained this right.

Help!

As a felow 5ft nothing person, I feel your pain Wink. Personally I don't buy jeans to alter. I always think the proportions some how end up looking wrong. This may not be the answer you were looking for! But I am sure other short arses petite people may disagree!

Oh pants!

This is my first ever time trying this out so they may have to go back.

But they're so bargainous and lovely on the waist/bum

It is pretty hard to say without seeing the jeans, if you turn them up, with the turn going up inside the leg, then try them on how does it look?

If you feel silly/uncomfortable in them then you probably should take them back, unless they were such a bargain they can be your scruffy jeans? I think as long as the fading ends about mid shin they might be okay...

I am 5ft , I always buy expensive jeans and always have them shortened. Don't worry about the pattern. If you like them just get them shortened. They will be fine.

Thanks all. I'm not entirely convinced they'll not look daft, I've found the link to the exact colour here

They're super soft and don't have that line thing down the back of the legs. It's just the front. YOu can see what I mean about the fading.

To be honest, they were only £20 on clearance so probably worth adjusting anyway. I just wondered if anybody had any genius ideas on how to get round it.

Thanks for all of your responses, I do appreciate it!

Honestly, loads of my Diesel jeans have that. Just because I am short I will not wear naffola jeans so the only option is to have them shortened. I have been doing this for years and I have never looked odd. If you love them then don't take them back. One thing you could do id turn them up to the correct length( with pins or tack lightly) and try them on with the shoes you would wear and show someone without mentioning your dilemma, see if they notice..I doubt they will!.
