Lovely Navy Cardigan in Phase Eight

I just bought this gorgeous cardi in Phase Eight sale....slightly equestrian as its longer at back than at front..looks nothing from this picture, but trust me, for a chunky cardi, very slimming, this is a bargain and totally gorgeous imo!

Oooh, is it slimming? I thought it would look horrible on me as I'm size 18 with v.large norks. V tempted although how warm will it be with no wool?

gailforce it is a very deep rich navy, not pale at all.

accessorize I think its slimming and I am a size 14-16 with large norks...I think because the back is lower it creates a lovely shape over your bum (and hides it!). It feels v thick so I think it'll be lovely and warm. It's not a thin cardigan..

Have bought it in charcoal,and heartily recommend.

The photo put me off as it looks a washed out navy. I've ordered one as it's a proper navy

GW - Is the charcoal a dark colour too - like the navy it looks ratehr pale on the web site

I bought the navy one, it's a very dark navy - in the light in my house I thought it was black, only outside in the snow did it look navy.

Very thick and warm, sleeves way too long but in an attractive 'oh look at me I'm ali macgraw' way.

I also got that sequin dress down from £140 to £40 - it's fantastic, fits beautifully on me and looks really expensive. I also got the platform peep-toe shoes which were originally £85 and they are very nice.

And a v-neck twisted neck jumper in pale blue, very slimming and total bargain.

I'm tempted to buy more now

Higgle charcoal not too dark,more at grey end than black,IFYSWIM.
Agree with Laurie re long sleeves,but overall it is a fantastic expensive looking cardigan,well worth the sale price,imo..

I am waiting to wear mine xmas day.....my willpower is truly waning with all this snow tho..

It is indeed navy, mine arrived yesterday and wearing it now! It's cotton so not the warmest IMO but think I will wear a lot. Dp very excited about how nice my bottom looked in it ! I like the long sleeves and the fact you can fit several layers underneath! I got the merino boyfriend cardie in grey also but fits horrible and colour v boring grey.BTW Celtic sheepskin do a merino one just like it in blue/grey but £85

Am faffing between a grey or blue one and also thinking of buying one for my sister as I think it would really suit her (evn tho we are v different shapes and sizes!)
Would you say order true to size or do they come up big? Also what sort of length are they? Do they cover the bum? (I'm hopeless at judging things like that from a pic!)

Ollie I would say they are true to size.
I am a 12 and ordered a 12,it is not voluminous but next time I may go for the 10.
The sleeves are long,though.

I would size down - it is pretty big!

Interesting - I went for a 10 and a 12 so I wouldn't be disappointed.
