quick - how do i dress up dd for mamma mia/70s christmas party at school tomorrow?

she will wear some kind of headband, and her bootcut jeans (i've rebranded them as 'flares'). what else would make her look 70s? she's in reception btw.

it doesn't help that i haven't seen mamma mia, but presumably the idea is 'dress like abba' Xmas Grin.

we are too tasteful to own anything of that ilk Xmas Wink. she has a gap tunic from last winter. is that 70s? it's not, but could it be rebranded as such?!?

I had to do this with about 2 hrs notice - grrr! make glittery bell bottoms for jeans. leotard type top with little waistcoat over. Wig ? Headband. Google 70s costumes and you'll get some inspiration

gotabookaboutit - thanks so much for the lurid top idea, the perfect one came to me in a flash of inspiration in the shower this morning. turns out we're not so tasteful after all... luckily.
