children's leg warmers

I saw one of the girls at school wearing some really cute leg warmers but don't know her mum well enough to ask where she got them. They were stripy ribbed wool fabric and came down over ankle boots with a couple of buttons on them. Kind of joules colours iyswim. Any body know where they might be from?

Have you got any knitting friends? They are dead easy to make.

ha! i might ask my nieghbour - my only foray into knitting was a cardigan which took six months and had to be fixed (ie totally redone i think) by my neighbour. any recommendations for good patterns?

Cardigan is very ambitious! Legwarmers are just rectangles, you could do that no probs. Loads of instructions on the net and demos on Youtube.

i saw some in h and m today hanging up with the tights might be easier than making them [smile}
