Bought DD a duffle coat in the sale. I can't believe they were charging £50 full price.

Out of sale time, it is over priced.
Sale prices bring it down to what is reasonable IMO. some of it is utterly cack though.

Well, they don't do free returns, apparently, so that's me out.

Got some reasonable stuff for the dc's in the sale and a nice sparkly scarf for me.

I don't really get the writing off a whole shop thing - I mean theres normally nice and not so nice bits in most places really.

grown up stuff is mostly vile. Haven't bought anything this year. most other years I succumb in the sale, and then end up sending everthing back (it just looks really frumpy on me).

Good kids stuff though.

I've had some nice adult stuff from there. however, i stick to the plain classic looking items, nothing thats labelled Quirky, Sassy, Flippy or Fun

they do have Free Returns alongside an assortment of offers during the year. Not in sale time though.
However, if you keep the free returns label from an offer, you can use it any time.

I used to buy adult stuff, but found the cut and quality terrible- sleeves short,armholes really mean,and i'm a bog standard size 14.The last straw came with an embroidered cardi,i realized after one handwash that none of the threads had been sewn in properly-as they started unravelling..

Another thing..just how many catalogues do they need to send? I seem to get 3x per season .. Is that just me?

I once bought two t shirts in a sale. After that I was inundated with catalogues for ages until I finally got myself taken off the mailing list.

However that doesn't seem to stop them sneaking the odd one in the post still...

I don't buy anything from Boden as all the tunics and dresses are empire line, which makes me look like a weightlifter. And all the clothes seem designed for very skinny women. And I hate the hysterically laughing models, leaping across London streets and jumping about on beaches.

some things are plain lovely and you will wear forever, but they are few and far between and the returns are a pita.

re catalogues, I get one in my maiden name, married name and dh gets one. Surely they have better things to spend marketing money on?

Oh and that is about 8 times a year, but funnily enough we never get the sodding sale catalogue until the sale is over. on top of that I get emails too. How do I get it to stop?

Open one of the emails and find the unsubscribe bit.
You could also try ringing them.

My sale stuff just arrived, but it's going to go back- way too short. Ordered a 5 for DD (4yo) but the trousers are very short (already took the skirts out of my basket as the length was too short... I'm not putting her in an 8- it wouldnt stay up over her hips!)

Just received their 'sale' catalogue by post today.

Looked up several items that I was interested in but they're all out of stock.

What was the point of sending the mag? Complete waste of time.

I have loved 80% of the stuff I have bought from them.

I was just saying this the other day - I had an email from Boden saying "Help us save trees" and replied saying "OK - stop sending me all those blimmin' catalogues!"

I emailed Johnny , asking him why n earth they sent me fatalities every fortnight and did he not care about t environment. "he" removed me from the mailing list and i only get emails now.

i do think the quality is going dds cat tshirt arrived today the pinkone with yellow cat, it was rather thin, not the usual thickness
