My Christmas clothes crisis part 2 - Links sorted!!

bambiandthumper · 13/12/2010 11:29

I desperately need some new clothes, and thought I would treat myself as little Christmas something for myself!
For Christmas Day, which will be spent with Family I need a smartish but comfy dress for the day, and then something not quite black tie for Christmas Supper once the DC's are in bed.
If it is of any help, I am 29, have blonde hair to sort of bra back length, am 5ft 8 and a size 8, but after 3DC's what were paltry boobs are practically concave :(
But yes, please let me know what you think (links should be working now!) and any suggestions would be great!

DD (3) is also in desperate need of something a bit smarter. She is very blonde with green/grey eyes.

Haven't got as far as dd yet, but I absolutely love the first dress you linked to, the burberry.

Do you only do camel & black?

madammecholet · 13/12/2010 13:14

Crumpet camel one for day, with tights and silk scarf at your neck & leopard print ballerinas....followed by
first Burberry dress, totally gorgeous!

The girls dresses looked lovely, but a little boring...and grown up somehow? If she's only 3, why not something from Boden or Toby Tiger?

Not overwhelmed by either of the girl's dresses, altough Brora cardigan is v nice.

bambiandthumper · 13/12/2010 13:59

Thank you so much everyone, I know it all seems quite dark, but I just haven't seen anything I like yet in other colours! I also find the strong jewel colours that are around at the moment tend to wash me out, and if I am going to spend quite a bit on two dresses I would like to get something very classic.

MadammeCholet - I am not too keen on anything from boden at the moment but the Toby Tiger clothes are adorable, thank you so much for that website!
I also like your idea of the leopard ballet pumps to add some colour, and luckily I already have a pair!

For DD what about this:

with dark - prehaps teal or grey woolly tights and a darker cardi?

I like the Vanessa Bruno dress for you - Brora have got some lovely cashmere jumper dresses for you could be worth taking a look at.

Like the girls dresses - also take a look www.ilovegorgeous.co.uk/ or here

teej · 13/12/2010 14:14

Bambie this is your lucky day - Brora have a money off offer today - £30 off £150 plus spend, £10 off £75 plus spend. The code is 13Dec30.

bambiandthumper · 13/12/2010 14:27

Thank you so much Teej, I think I will order DD the cardigan as it will go with most of her other clothes anyway and I will get DH a jumper as part of his Christmas present!

Tracybath, the ilovegorgeous.co.uk dresses are AMAZING, f:o, what do you think of these?

For DD- have a look here, some lovely stuff.

For you- is the budget around £500 per dress? So two dresses?
