Are Barbour jackets generous sizing?

I need a coat or a jacket - I don't have a coat, I only wear cardigans. Coats do not fit me - I have mahoosive norks (36J) plus a small waist but very short-waisted so things fit very badly.

Everything i wear is either jersey or knitted so that it clings to the curves.

I am considering this Barbour jacket as it has no belt and a very slightly nipped in waist.

Longer coats are out as I'm only 5ft tall. And even with the jacket I can't wear a long cardie under it - cos I'd look like a right twonk.
Confused

I don't know about the "Kate" jacket but I have the Utility jacket and that also goe in at the waist. The Utility is close fitting and Barbour advise you to consider sizing up.

I also have the utility (v similar) and would definitely size UP

I'm normally a 10 but the 10 is very close especially with a jumper on under it.

Sleevs quite short too.

it comes up a bit small, esp. if you wear a jumper underneath. I have a 14 which is a tight fit over a normal jumper, and normally I am a 12.

I have an 18 and I am an 18. I can wear a top and lightweight cardie under mine but wouldn't get a thick woolen jumper underneath and be able to zip it up. I am a 36FF
