Whistles Dress - is this sensible enough?

I bought this in Whistles today for my corporate christmas lunch. lots of clients so no strapless / short outfits.

It's got a bit of sparkle but is it OK? Been stressing all week about what to wear and saw else really in town.

I'll be wearing it with tights and black shoe boots, minimal jewelry.

How big are your boobs? Unless it really highlights your cleavage I think it would be perfect for a corporate christmas lunch.

Unfortunatley on me, with my melons, it would look semi-pornographic if I wore it to a xmas lunch.

I think it's gorgeous. Doesn't help that they style everything on their website so badly. But it looks like it would be very flattering on and hits the right note between corporate and a bit glitzy.

I just dont want to have to wear a suit or shift dress.

Its split to the waistband but crosses over. I have a stretchy black Coast vest top that i'll wear under it. same material as the waist band.

I'm an E cup so I have a lot of vests :)

Lovely dress. I am a lawyer and would be happy to wear it to work so I don't think you have any thing to worry about.
Black opaque tights and black shoe boots will be perfect with it.

I think it's really nice, striking and fun and looks like it should be flattering.

Just noticed its £150 on the website! I got it for £80, so bit of a bargain :)

Definate bargain! Was it on sale in the actual shop or was £80 the shop retail price?

I got in in House of Frasers, they must have reduced it. I know they had a friends and family thing on today.
