Argh. Christmas party for new job - what to wear?

OK, so the do is for a call centre, in a casino, in Newcastle. It is tomorrow night, and I have literally no idea what the other people will wear. They just said they were wearing dresses. That could mean anything!

I have only been in training, so haven't had chance to suss it out. We are having a meal, then dancing and all that.

I WILL be wearing a coat. There is a bloody big river going through that city- it is freezing!

What to wear? I'm happy with just not standing out as that woman who wore the really odd outfit. However, most of my going out outfits are more for rock clubs than casinos.

Do I need to shave my legs etc? Wash my hair? Paint my nails? WEAR HEELS????!?!?

I would personally go for a little black dress or similar as I don't think u can go far wrong with this if u want to blend in a bit. Or seems like loads of women wear smart pants and a top 4 Xmas do's, I'd always personally go 4 a dress tho! No need 2 shave legs - weather 2 cold so just wear tights! Only suggestion really is nothing 2 low cut - don't wanna risk distracting
people at the table while having the meal!!! Xxx
