Children's haircuts in Oxford Street, London?

Anyone know of a place? If not in Oxford St, then in that general, central-ish area?

Not sure if this is what you're looking for, but my 6yo (boy) got a fast cheap (£6) really good haircut at Mr. Topper. It's a chain, has one near British Museum, lots of others - look in phone book.

It is a bit like a cut-rate barbers, but they do say they do women and girls too. A Japanese girl cut ds's hair - this was in the one near the British Museum - and I would definitely have had her do my dd's hair.

Earlybird, I'm actually trying to avoid the schlep south. . .but thanks so much for the suggestion. Actually. . .I USUALLY take the kids to the Kings Rd or to Kensington for their hair, but was looking for something closer to me (I'm near Paddington). I seem to live in wasteland for children's services. [sigh]

Had dd's hair cut in the most beautiful precision bob in the Vidal Sassoon in Whiteleys. But that was a once-in-a-lifetime expense.

What about all those salons down Queensway?

i've had my hair cut in superdrug on oxford st - tott ct rd side(near M&S) - not sure if they do kids - i think so - but have proper salon out the back and a lot cheaper than other places
